We are a traditional 16th Centruy pub serving the very untraditional. We serve Italian Small Plates, some of the best Italian food you’ll find locally. Similar to tapas, we would suggest that you order 2 to 3 dishes each, a bit at a time or lots to share and the dishes will arrive when they’re ready.

Expect to see seasonal Italian & West-country ingredients used, with a minimum of fuss, to make our authentic, occasionally quirky, Italian home-made dishes. All our pasta, bread & sauces are made in house on a daily basis. It also provides an unparalleled experience for those who have dietary requirements with numerous options for vegetarians, plant-based diets & coeliacs. Please click here to see our current menu.

We do do the traditional drinks, pouring classic pub tipples of real ales, lagers, ciders, spirits & soft drinks. However, once again, we take our drinks to a whole new level with over 60 Italian wines by the glass & a huge selection of Italian themed cocktails. Click for our drinks list.

A discretionary 10% service charge is added to all bills, which is entirely split between the team who looked after you on the day, on top of their wages. Please do ask if you would like the service charge to be removed for any reason. If you feel that the service you have received is not up to the level expected, please don't hesitate to let us know.

'Rapido' Lunch for Two - £15.00pp

We also offer our 'Rapido' lunch for two for £15.00 per person from Tuesday to Friday - this menu shows off our style of food at its best for a quick lunch while still offering unmatched value for money. For a little extra indulgence on the 'Rapido' menu you can add dessert and / or a drink at a much discounted price.

"We ate as a group and were entranced by the Italian tapas type meal. The wonderfully tasty different course arrived steadily over the meal, providing almost a taster menu without the taster menu price. Staff were lovely and helpful. As well as the wonderful food this is a pub with a good range of beers. Thoroughly recommend."

"Love the concept of small sharing plates and every dish delivered. My stand-out was the Dorset lamb with polenta - meltingly flavourful meat with buttery, truffled polenta - a bowl of that on front of the fire would make me very happy. But in fact there was not one dud dish in the ten we ordered. Very impressed and am looking forward to a return visit. Thank you."
