"We spent last weekend at the hotel as we were attending a wedding at Sherborne Abbey. The Small Plates menu was delicious and the food was of a very high standard. Our room was beautifully appointed with complementary Cowshed toiletries, bathrobes, and plenty of lovely fluffy towels. A nice touch was the small jar of pastries, a thermos of milk and proper coffee as well as teabags and water. The beds were very comfortable. The courtyard is a lovely place to sit on a warm summer's evening with a beautiful old Rosemary plant as the focal point. The breakfasts were simply amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and I would like to especially mention Jason. We tried in vain to get a taxi to take us to the wedding reception and he gave up his break and drove us to the venue in his car. That's five star service. I would recommend The Plume of Feathers very highly."

"I recommended my cousin and his family stay here when they came down to visit me and I was thrilled with the quality of the room and breakfast. I've no room to put them up myself but really wanted somewhere of decent quality that they could stay and the Plume did not disappoint. I think they'll definitely come back here again."

"The view from the window was spectacular. A full on view of the Abbey. We had seen earlier comments about the chimes going through the night. We were aware of them but the thick curtains helped muffle the sound and we had a good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed."

"Stayed in the hayloft room; spacious, clean and very comfortable. Wet room downstairs a little cramped, but overall very good. Meals excellent and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Car parking arrangements excellent."

" I had the pleasure of staying at The Plume of Feathers for 2 nights whilst on business in Sherborne. The room was spacious, comfortable & well appointed. The few extra little luxuries added a touch of quality, sweet treats in a kilner jar, still & sparkling mineral water & Cowshed toiletries. A glass of Rose al fresco followed by an indulgent dinner of fresh Crab Spaghetti, Zuchini & Basil salad and wait for it....Nutella pizza, was so delicious. Oh and I nearly forgot a fresh Strawberry Bellini, all served with finesse & warmth. An indulgent evening, very much enjoyed. Thank you. I will be returning and will recommend to friends."
